21 Questions

Photobucket

1. What age to you think is a good age for someone to lose their virginity? (Chapter Two)
I would have to say 18.  Only because I have daughters.  I lost mine at 17.  I was educated, used protection, had been in a relationship with the guy (who is now my husband) for nearly a year, and definitely ready for that connection with him.  I don't regret it.

2. What is the weirdest position you have ever been in that you were sure would not work but did?? (Angel)
Oh, wow.  I'm not sure really.  Maybe with my feet up by my husbands head?  It's not my favorite position ever, and it's awkward for me, but it works.

3. Worst Date ever? (D. Scandal)
Ha.  That would be going out only to be left at the fire house alone for hours because my boyfriend/now husband was/is a volunteer firefighter and duty called.  At least after he was hopped up on adrenaline, smelled of smoke and I got to see him in uniform and that's pretty hot.

4. Do you have any problems asking your partner for what you want in bed?(Boobies)
Yes.  I'm shy...  and I have trouble with the spoken word.  Written?  No trouble at all.  Spoken?  I get tongue tied.  I do try to direct him with my hands, but honestly most of the time we mesh so well that I can just relax and follow his lead.  The only thing I would like that I haven't asked for is for him to just...let loose.  Rough, passionate, do whatever he wants and don't worry about hurting me.

5. What is the one sexual experience, that you haven't tried before, that you would like to experience this year?(Mrs. Discontented)
See above.  Plus I wanted to experience toys with him this year, but we've already made that happen.

6. Which one is easier to organize for a woman... a MFM or a FFM? (France)
No idea.  I have no desire to ever be with anyone other than my husband.

7. At what number of sexual partners does one become a slut (
I have no idea.  I don't really feel like I can judge anyone, but to me a slut it someone with no boundaries.  It's okay to be flirtatious and free sexually, but you need to use common sense and not just fuck anyone, anytime, anywhere.
8. On a scale from 1-10, how kinky are you? (Blue-eyed Vixen)
Not sure what the scale would rate the highest kink - wise.  There isn't much I wouldn't try honestly.

9. Do you like to french kiss?
Yes!

10. How much tongue is too much tongue?
I don't like slobber all over my face, so at that point, put the tongue away.

11. Can you get past the "bad kissing thing" or is that a deal breaker?
It's not a deal breaker.  My husband and I, were our first kisses.  The first kiss?  While filled with nervousness, excitement, attraction, it was not exactly that firework kiss.  With practice (lots of enjoyable practice) we got better at it and eventually worked up to fireworks.

12. A name you think is just freaking sexy!
Haven't given names much thought on the sexy scale.

13. What is your lucky number ( just wanna know)
10.

14. Do you have a name for your partners sexual part?
Nope.

15. Will you deny your partner sex if you are mad at them?
Yes and no.  I might try...but he's pretty darned irresistable.

16. How many naked pictures are on your phone?
None.

17. If you could change one thing about your body what would it be?
Right now, I'd like to lose some weight and tone up.

18. Have you ever broken anything doing the nasty?
Can't say that I have.

19. What are your bed sheets like?
Right now they are gold (not gaudy shiny gold though).

20. would you like to have sex on the beach or have you already?
I'd rather not have sand in all of my lady parts, thank-you-very-much.

21. What is love?
Love is passion, obsession, someone you can't live without. I say, fall head over heels. Find someone you can love like crazy and who will love you the same way back. How do you find him? Well, you forget your head, and you listen to your heart. And I'm not hearing any heart. Cause the truth is, honey, there's no sense living your life without this. To make the journey and not fall deeply in love, well, you haven't lived a life at all. But you have to try, cause if you haven't tried, you haven't lived. Okay so that's a movie quote, but I do agree.  :)

Burning Desires Set Review

"Love is the irresistible desire, to be irresistibly desired." - Robert Frost

I love massages.  Giving, and of course receiving.  I find the focus and the movements I make while giving a massage to be relaxing.  I think my massages were one of the reasons my husband married me.  Or at least one of the reasons he decided I was definitely a keeper when we were dating.  ;)

I often use lotion for our massages, but I had not yet tried oils, and I certainly hadn't been brave enough to try a massage candle.  I had always been intrigued by the idea of massage candles, and in the interest of stepping out of my "comfort zone" I jumped on the offer to review The Burning Desire Set from Babeland.  I really don't know what I was afraid of, and I am so glad I did.

The Burning Desire Set is made by a company called YesForLov.  This romantic kit comes packaged in an attractive black box that would be suitable for gift giving.  It includes a 1.7 oz massage candle, a small box of matches, and two hidden message cards.

  • Candle ingredients: soy wax, palm kernel oil, sesame indicum oil, cera alba, parfum, cinnamyl alcohol, coumarin, eugenol, isoeugenol, limonene

  • The massage candle is set in a sleek black candle holder, that has a curve that makes it easy to hold, and easy to pour.  I immediately fell in love with the scent, and have since used the oil as a perfume on more than one occasion (I don't even have to light the candle for that, I just run my finger across the top of the candle and then apply to my pulse points, the heat of my finger softens the candle just enough).  Aside from the fact that it smells amazing, it also serves to make me smile every time I wear it and flash back to the romantic evening we had using this candle for the first time.  I think what I was most afraid of with massage oils and candles was the oil.  I was afraid it would be too greasy and too messy and just too hard to work with.  I was very pleasantly proven wrong with this candle.  The oil was hydrating and while I did spill a little on my sheets the first time I tried to pour the oil, before I got the hang of it, it did not end up staining.  There was no waxy residue left either once the oil dried on our skin, which was also something I was concerned about.  We were just left with moisturized skin that smelled heavenly.  I have since ordered a bottle of massage oil to try as well.  Yay for breaking free of comfort zones and enjoying new experiences!  Also, yay for an excuse to have more massages!!  As if we really needed one...but hey...  :)

The box of matches was a very nice touch to have included with this set, and I appreciated not having to run down to my kitchen to get my own matches when we were ready for our evening.

As soon as I lit the candle the first time, curiosity got the better of me and I held both hidden message cards over the flame to reveal their secrets.  I won't tell you what they said, but I will say that they were sexy and sensual without being too over the top or racy.  Perfect little messages for a tender and romantic evening.

Thanks Babeland for sending me the Burning Desires Set, I am so glad to have been given the opportunity to try this set!

    Sliquid Oceanics Review

"The greatest of all pleasures is the pleasure of learning." - Aristotle

Hey all!  Long time no...see?  This month has been crazy.  I have been able to work in the time to try a few new products though.

I will be the first to admit, I am a total NOVICE when it comes to all things sex toy related.  I'm learning though, and I'm enthusiastic, so that should count for something, right?

I'm noticing that as I get a little older (late twenties here, people, not old, but older, and yes, a couple of kids later) that a little extra lubrication is a good thing.  I first discovered lube when I was breastfeeding my oldest.  It was just necessary for a little while there.  I was embarrassed to even need it so I sheepishly grabbed a bottle of KY something or other in a small bottle with a pump and that was that.  Used it here and there until I didn't "need" it anymore and ended up throwing it out.  I get plenty wet on my own normally, but I am finding that I like the added slipperiness I get from using lube, and also learning that it is not anything to be embarrassed about, even if you do need it.  Up until this past month though, I hadn't tried anything I couldn't get at any random drug store.  When I was offered the chance to try, and review, a better quality lube found at Babeland, I was excited.

They sent me a bottle of Sliquid Oceanics.  First of all, I love the name, Oceanics.  It just sounds so...relaxing.  Sliquid strives to make their lubes women friendly, safe for use with toys and latex, glycerin and pareben free, as well as vegan.  Oceanics is blended with soothing botanical extracts like aloe, green tea, sunflower seed, hibiscus, flax, alfalfa... and natural seaweed extracts of carrageenan, nori, and wakame to help heal and support the body.

Purified Water, Plant Cellulose (from Cotton), Aloe Barbadensis, Natural Tocopherols (Vitamin E), Cyamopsis (Guar Conditioners), Extracts of Hibiscus, Flax, Alfalfa, Green Tea & Sunflower Seed, Carrageenan, Nori, Wakame, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid (Citrus Fruits)
    • Carrageenan offers the benefit of being one of the most effective lubricants found in nature, and has been shown in lab tests to help prevent the spread of HPV (Genital Warts), which is one of the most common STD's.
    • Wakame is a red algae often used for its anti-wrinkle & skin revitalizing properties, as well as being a natural source of Vitamins A, B, C and E.
    • Nori is a type of green algae, and is an effective natural moisturizer, as well as being a great source of B Vitamins (Folic Acid) and minerals, including Zinc, Iodine, Iron & Copper.
I love that I can pronounce everything on the ingredients list and I feel like when I use this, I know what I'm putting on/in my body.  I also love that with this product I don't have to be concerned about UTIs or yeast as a result of use, and that it's water based and I don't have to worry about which toys I use it with.

Like I mentioned above, I really only had previous experience with KY and some of the "drug store brands," and while they have their time/place and introduced me to the fun of lube, I wouldn't exactly feel comfortable leaving them laying out and about in my bedroom.  The packaging that Sliquid Oceanics comes in is very presentable.  It's a lovely dark bottle that is 100% recyclable, and is complimented with a simple and elegant label that is printed on recycled paper.  To me, it almost looks like a bottle of lotion and I have actually left it on my bedside table for a few weeks.  It will probably stay there until it's gone.

As far as how it feels, my first thought was that it was thicker than I was used to.  That's just a drop on the back of my hand there in the picture.  My second thought as I rubbed it on was that it felt very, very nice.  I could immediately feel the soothing properties.  I was expecting it to have a bit of scent to it, but surprisingly there was none.  No taste either, at least from my little lick just to see.  I let it dry there on the back of my hand after rubbing it in and it left no residue, and did not dry and peel/crack or anything like that.  Just rubbed in like a lotion.

More importantly it felt amazing in action.  I found a little went a long way since it is so thick.  I did not have to reapply at all.  I did notice that with vigorous rubbing it did get a little bit sticky (not enough that it was bothersome though) and slightly...foamy?  I actually found the white foams to be interesting given the name Oceanics, it reminded me of the peaks of ocean waves.  Over all I really enjoyed this lube, and it blows everything else I have ever used out of the water.

Look, I tried to be fun and take a picture next to sea shells.  I know, I'm not funny.  :P

A huge thanks for Babeland for sending me a bottle of Sliquid Oceanics in exchange for this review!

    Babeland's Satin Bondage Kit

“It’s not true that I had nothing on. I had the radio on.” - Marilyn Monroe

As someone new to the world of toys in the bedroom, I wanted to start somewhere a little less intrusive.  I have always liked the idea of light bondage (actually, I wouldn't mind working up to more later...) and I love when my husband pins me down in a fit of passion.  When I had the opportunity to select an item from Babeland for review, I decided to give their Satin Bondage Kit a try.

The package from Babeland arrived in a discreet brown box.  No mention of Babeland anywhere on the box, much to my relief.  I had never ordered from there before and I was curious if, despite the claims on their website of discretion, there was something, somewhere, on the package to give it away.  I breathed a small sigh of relief when the package came.  In fact, it came with a few other packages and after looking at it, I puzzled as to what it could be.  I tore it open not really thinking about it, and then realized what it was.  Haha!  Luckily I was alone, and luckily it is fairly tame, had I not been.  The kit was also packaged tastefully in a clear plastic bag, which I also liked.

I love the satin drawstring bag that was included to keep everything neatly packaged together.  The kit includes an adjustable black satin eye mask (imprinted with a small pink Babeland logo), with the ties being two and a half foot long each, so that they can reach down and also double as wrist restraints.  Hot!  The mask is large enough to completely block vision, and it's super soft and comfortable against your skin.  Also included are two five foot satin sashes, to use any way you please.  We have a king size bed so I was pleased to find that these were definitely usable with our bed posts.  I could see the silkiness of the fabric being a problem with someone who isn't great with knots, they might slip loose easily...but luckily my husband rocks with knots.

They also included a little "instruction" sheet.  I find that this Satin Bondage Kit is a great introduction to bondage and can be used lightly...or not.  Your choice.  As someone new to bondage I really appreciated the simple and elegant feel to this kit.  It was not too over the top for a beginner, and really quite fun to play with.
